The name of my book is "The 4 + 30" which is the statistic that I bet on. It means this trainer has produced at least four wins or more plus a 30 percent-hit rate or higher (the 4 + 30) on this trainers' specialty move. This book has eleven chapters including one on automatics as well as filters which is a way of reducing a group of bets to a higher percentage play. The book also tells of the journey I traveled to get to today's style of betting. The 4 + 30 makes a case for trainer stats which is a common sense approach to percentages and the odds board. When you have a known hit rate you can measure fair odds and payout. Without a known hit rate, odds and payout cannot be evaluated objectively. The reason is racing is not a game of chance, like dice where the last sequence of throws conveys absolutely no information about what the next throw will bring.
